I registered for a user account and paid my dues, when do I get membership privileges on the website?

Granting membership privileges is currently a manual process.  The database coordinator confirms that payment is received and will update your status as soon as possible.  It will usually be performed within 24 hours but may take more time if we have stepped away from our computer.   

 

How do I change my User Name or Password?

When you are logged in click on "My Account" in the upper left hand corner.  Then click the "Edit" tab in the center.  On this page you can edit your username, password, email address.  Clicking on the other categories below the edit tab will allow you to edit much of the information in your database account.  Contact the Database Coordinator if you have any questions. 

 

How do I post pictures on the site as part of a Bulletin Board or other posting?

(Directions provided by gottagiggle) You can add pictures to this site by using html.  So, I will try to explain it to you as best as I can. If you have digital pictures on your computer, you need to upload them to a photo sharing website. The free one that I use is http://photobucket.com.  Once you upload your picture there, you can share it here.
When I look at my album on photobucket, underneath the picture there are three options. 1, URL link. 2, html tag. 3, img code. Currently you need the html tag on this site to post pictures. So, if you copy what is in the box marked html tag and paste it here in your post or reply, the photo will appear. You need to make sure to check the FULL HTML box below your post/comment on the Full House MOMs site, so that it recognizes the html used in the post. Why does the bulletin board look different?

The new bulletin board uses threaded discussions instead of single thread discussions. Although it will take a little adjustment, the new method will make it much easier to track various conversations and responses within the same topic.

The highest level is called a Post. This is the equivalent of topics on the old bulletin board. You can respond to the original Post or you can reply to a response to the Post.

 

How do I post a response on the bulletin board?

If you would like to reply to the original Post click "add a comment" under the Post.  To reply to a particular comment under the Post, just click "Reply" under the comment you want to respond to.

 

Can anyone post on the bulletin board?

No. Only people with User accounts that have Member privileges will be able to access and post to the bulletin board. Membership is $25 and requires approval. If you do not have a membership or have not renewed your membership yet, we welcome you to Join FHM.

 

How do I subscribe to email notifications when postings are made to the Bulletin Boards and other areas of the site?

NOTE: Email notifications are sent out once per day at about lunch time right now but we will be upgrading to allow it to send the notifications every three hours or so.

Below is an explanation of the features and how to use them:

  • If you want to receive ONE daily email with a summary of all postings to the bulletin board instead of a separate email for each category you can make a simple change in the “My Account” area:
  • 1) Click the “Notification Settings” Tab
    > Switch the “Master Switch ” to “Enabled”
    > Switch “Notify new content” to “Enabled”
    > Choose how much content to include in the email summary.
    > Switch “Notify new comments” to “Enabled”
    3) Click “Save”
  • If you were receiving many separate emails:
    1) Click the “Subscriptions” Tab
    2) Click the “categories” tab below that.
    > Uncheck all of the Bulletin Board topics and Event Types
    3) Click “Save” 
  • Subscribe Post - You will also find that throughout the site there is a "Subscribe Post" link for each page, forum topic, calendar event etc. Clicking on this anywhere on the site will make sure that you receive email notification of changes, updates or additional comments made to that content.
  • Additional Settings - If you are ambitious you will see there are more specific features in the My Account section that can fine tune your notifications of new content added to the site. Most of these have some explanation but if you need more please see contact info below for more help.

How do I request assistance from the FHM Financial Assistance Fund so that my membership fee is subsidized?

How do I make a contribution to the FHM Financial Assistance Fund so that other moms can have their memberships subsidized?

We have not currently implemented this feature, but plan to do so shortly. In the interim please contact newmembership08@fullhousemoms.com.

 

Is getting a User account on the website the same as joining the club?

No. Anyone can get a User account on the website. However, these accounts have the same viewing privileges as anonymous or non-member users. They will not be able to see key features of the website including Bulletin Board, Newsletter, or Events.

To join the club, you must be a paid and approved member. When this is done, your User account will be given membership privileges, which will get you into the sections of the site mentioned above.

 

I have an idea or an issue with the website. How can I share it?

We want to hear your feedback: good, bad and ugly. We also want any ideas on how the website can be improved so that it further benefits you as a parent of multiples and helps to build our community of parents.
