Parenting multiples is unimaginably rewarding - but there are also days that are incredibly challenging. At Full House MOMs, we want you to know that we are here to listen, help, and understand. We want to support you in whatever way we can. We have a team of Support Service members that can help you with the challenges of having and parenting multiples. Expectant parents (and prospective members!) are invited to join our Support Services team and experienced parents of multiples for a question and answer, problem-solving get together every other month. It's an informal way to discuss issues and questions you might have about parenting multiples. Meetings often have topics, but any question or discussion item is welcomed. Experienced members facilitate the meetings and it is a great opportunity to meet other expectant parents and get your questions addressed. Support Services welcomes new and expectant parents at a special monthly brunch. This is a wonderful opportunity to get together with other families facing similar joys and challenges of multiple newborns or upcoming births. Club members assist the Support Services team by attending the brunch and offering their support, advice or assistance with the babies so that new parents can relax, meet others and enjoy the morning. See the newsletter or events calendar for more information on the next FHM Brunch: brunches10@fullhousemoms.com
The first weeks of parenthood can be overwhelming for anyone but even more so for parents of multiples. There often seems to be little time in the day to take care of yourself. FHM volunteers want to help out by offering to provide you with a wonderful, nourishing meal for your family delivered to your door, free! As a member of FHM, we ask that you please contact us if you have had your babies and would like a meal delivered: support10@fullhousemoms.com
We have a preemie clothes closet that was formed by donations from club members. Additionally, items such as nursing pillows specifically designed for twins are loaned to any club member who needs them. Please contact the Preemie Closet Coordinator if you are interested in borrowing or donating an item to the club: preemie10@fullhousemoms.com
Although breast-feeding multiples can be challenging, for most moms it is possible. We can provide you with support from mothers who have successfully breastfed their babies. We can also help you find qualified lactation assistance. We do not offer any medical advice. If your baby(ies) are not gaining weight, please consult a health professional immediately. If you have any questions or concerns about breastfeeding, contact us! Support10@fullhousemoms.com
In addition to the expertise of our members, Support Services can connect you with a vast number of valuable community resources. If you have specific questions or special needs please contact us.
We are here to support families of multiples who might be struggling economically. The Community Outreach Committee collects baby/child supplies, equipment and clothes donated by the general membership for distribution to families who need these items. If you are struggling to make ends meet or are interested in donating items or volunteering, please contact us: Outreach10@fullhousemoms.com
Please also watch the classifies and forums for current Outreach needs. The Outreach Coordinator keeps a regular list of items so please let her know if you have donations or want to volunteer to deliver items! We appreciate your help!
