Our annual Winter Party took place last night at Portland Children’s Museum and what a blast we had once again! Jill W., who is taking over the blog as one of our 2013 Community Managers, and I enjoyed taking pictures of adorable twins, triplets, singleton siblings, and parents. A big thank you to our social coordinators, Robyn & Robin, for putting on another successful party!

Fun was had by all yesterday at Liepold Farms in Boring, Oregon, for our annual Fall Party. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and nicer people working at the farm. There was a large corn maze, dark hay maze (bring your flashlights for that!), Kid Pavilion, a country store, cute cutouts for picture ops, plenty of large and small pumpkins to choose from, a hay ride with a quick educational chat on how a pumpkin grows, and lastly, but probably the most popular event, the Pumpkin-pult. (Did anyone else hit the huge cutouts and win a free pumpkin? My husband did! My boys were so excited.)
Thank you to our Social Coordinators, Robyn R. and Robin W. for putting on this fabulous event. Thank you, Liepold Farms. We greatly appreciate your generosity in sharing your pumpkin patch/farm with our club and for opening up early for us, too!

Today’s party was definitely full of fun! A huge thank you to our Social Team for putting this together. And my children can’t thank you enough for the pumpkin to draw on. Yes, I think they asked me at least 50 times (no exaggeration, of course) 
if they could color their pumpkin when we got home.
Hoffman Family Farms in Canby officially opens on October 7th, but hosts parties like ours before then. Although a few of the usual attractions were not yet open (hay maze, reptile haunted house, and rides), we were still able to experience quite a bit: The inflatable bouncy house, slide, and obstacle course; carefully feeding the goats, alpacas, and sheep; a very bumpy tractor ride around the property; having professional pictures taken; viewing wild animals, including a lion and a tiger!; chowing down on a variety of delicious homemade chili; admiring cute little ones dressed up in costumes; eating Good Old Larry’s Kettle Corn; and last, but certainly not least, choosing a small pumpkin to take home.

Craziness all around, but I’m pretty sure all of the kiddos had fun and parents were likely happy that their children were worn out after a full morning of play. With over 140 children and 125 adults, we were quite the crowd!
